Welcome to North Sumatra! Upon your arrival at Kualanamu International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our professional representative from Aulia Tour and Travel. After a brief introduction, we begin our scenic journey to Parapat, a lakeside town located on the shores of the magnificent Lake Toba.

As we travel through the Trans-Sumatra highway, you’ll enjoy views of lush palm oil and rubber plantations, giving you a glimpse of the local agricultural life. Along the way, we’ll make a stop at Toko Paten, a popular local snack shop in Pematang Siantar, known for its delicious traditional treats such as tengteng, tingting, and pang-pang—perfect souvenirs or a quick snack to enjoy.

Upon arrival in Parapat, we will have lunch at a local restaurant by the lake. Afterward, enjoy a short visit to Pantai Bebas, where you can take memorable photos with the famous “I Love Danau Toba” backdrop. Then we take a ferry ride across the vast lake to reach Samosir Island, a culturally rich island in the middle of Lake Toba.

Check in at your hotel and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure. In the evening, gather for a delightful dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, followed by a relaxing overnight stay on the island.

Day 2

Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel, preparing you for a full day of cultural and natural exploration around Samosir Island. Our first stop is Tomok Village, home to the ancient tomb of King Sidabutar. Learn about the legends of this Batak king and witness the mystical Sigale-Gale puppet performance—an optional, yet fascinating cultural show steeped in tradition.

Next, browse through Tomok Market, where locals sell handmade Batak souvenirs, wood carvings, and traditional textiles. Then continue to Huta Siallagan, a well-preserved traditional Batak village. Here, you’ll see the famous stone chairs and execution site, used in ancient tribal trials. Discover the unique architectural styles and customs of the Batak people.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before heading to the spectacular Bukit Holbung, a hill with gentle slopes and panoramic views of Lake Toba—perfect for photography and nature appreciation. The adventure continues to Bukit Sibea-Bea, known for its dramatic cliffs, scenic roads, and the towering statue of Jesus overlooking the lake.

On the return journey, we stop at the stunning Efrata Waterfall, a fan-shaped cascade surrounded by lush greenery. Before heading back, visit Kampung Ulos Huta Raja, a traditional weaving village where you can see artisans creating ulos, the sacred Batak cloth. Return to the hotel for dinner and a peaceful night’s rest.

Day 3

After breakfast and hotel check-out, we depart Samosir by ferry to Tiga Ras Port, then continue our journey towards the highlands. Our first scenic stop is Simarjarunjung Hill, where you can admire breathtaking views of Lake Toba from above.

We then visit Sipiso-Piso Waterfall, one of Indonesia’s tallest and most beautiful waterfalls. Cascading from a height of 120 meters, it’s nestled in a deep gorge surrounded by pine forests. Take in the fresh mountain air and capture unforgettable moments.

Lunch will be served at Taman Simalem Resort, a serene eco-resort perched on the mountain slopes. After lunch, enjoy some free time to explore the resort grounds, gardens, and viewpoints offering stunning vistas of Lake Toba.

The journey continues to Berastagi, a charming town located in the Karo Highlands. We’ll stop at Gundailing Hill, where you can view the majestic Mount Sinabung, an active volcano. In Berastagi, visit the vibrant Fruit Market, known for its fresh passion fruits, avocados, and marquisa. Later, explore Lumbini Park, home to a beautiful golden pagoda inspired by the Shwedagon Pagoda in Myanmar.
