Arrive in Parapat by evening, the charming lakeside town that serves as the gateway to Lake Toba. Check in at your hotel and enjoy a delightful dinner at Atsari Restaurant, accompanied by traditional Batak music. Afterward, enjoy free time and a restful night at the hotel.

Day 2

After breakfast, start your day with a photo session at the "I Love Danau Toba" sign located at Pantai Bebas Parapat, a perfect backdrop with the lake's crystal waters. Continue to Pardamean Sibisa Village and visit The Kaldera Toba Nomadic Escape, a viewpoint that offers jaw-dropping views of the Toba caldera and the lush surroundings.

Return to Parapat for lunch at a local restaurant, before heading to Ajibata Port to board a ferry to Samosir Island. As the boat glides across the lake, enjoy the calm water and the green hills that surround the vast volcanic lake.

Upon arriving in Samosir, visit Tomok Village, known for its traditional Batak houses, the ancient tomb of King Sidabutar, and the legendary Sigale-gale wooden puppet performance. Continue to Siallagan Village, where you’ll explore megalithic relics like the stone chairs of judgment and hear fascinating stories of Batak heritage. In the evening, check in to your hotel, enjoy dinner, and relax at your leisure.

Next, visit the Efrata Waterfall, a 26-meter-high cascade fanning out like a giant fan, nestled in a tranquil valley. Continue your journey to Sibea-Bea Hill, a spectacular viewpoint offering dramatic lake views and winding mountain roads, where serenity meets splendor.

After lunch at a local eatery, stop by Batu Hoda Beach, a peaceful shoreline with unique natural stone formations and a refreshing atmosphere. Return to your hotel in the evening for dinner, then unwind and enjoy the serene island vibes.

Enjoy breakfast and check out from your Samosir hotel. Cross to the mainland via Simanindo Port to Tigaras, where your scenic overland journey continues. Drive through the highlands of Simarjarunjung, famous for its panoramic views and cozy stops.

Take a break at Bukit Indah Simarjarunjung, where you can try local treats like crispy fried bananas and warm ginger tea (personal expense). Then, head to Tongging Village to marvel at the majestic Sipiso-piso Waterfall, one of Indonesia’s tallest at 120 meters.

Arrive at Taman Simalem Resort, perched above the northern edge of Lake Toba. Enjoy lunch with a view, then stroll through its organic gardens and relax in the cool mountain air. Later, proceed to Berastagi, the highland resort town, check in at your hotel, and have dinner at a local restaurant. The rest of the evening is yours to enjoy.
