As we drive towards Parapat, you’ll pass through the bustling town of Pematang Siantar. Enjoy the scenic views of lush rubber and palm oil plantations that stretch across the horizon. In Pematang Siantar, we’ll stop by Toko Paten, a famous local snack store where you can taste and purchase traditional peanut-based snacks such as teng-teng and ting-ting—perfect as unique souvenirs.
Continuing our journey, we arrive at Parapat, the gateway to Lake Toba. From here, we’ll take a scenic boat ride across the serene waters to Samosir Island, located in the middle of the lake. Back in Medan, we begin our city tour by visiting the grand Al-Mashun Grand Mosque and the historical Maimun Palace, both iconic symbols of the Deli Sultanate.
